Gunther’s Millions (TV Mini-Series) on Netflix is a story about the shocking story of how a dog inherited $400 million dollars and the life of his keeper. When I watched the preview I expected it to be something completely different! But in the same token, I got an inside look about this story.
About Gunther’s Millions

Multi-millionaire Gunther VI lives in the lap of luxury: He travels on private planes, eats gold-flaked steaks for dinner, and surrounds himself with a glamorous entourage of spokesmodels and entertainers. He is also a German shepherd. As the legend goes, Gunther’s great-grandfather was originally owned by a mysterious countess whose son died tragically. Having no heirs, the countess bequeathed her considerable fortune to her beloved dog, and placed him in the care of her son’s close friend, an Italian pharmaceutical heir and aspiring impresario named Maurizio Mian. Over the past 30 years, Mian has built an empire on behalf of his canine boss, including glamorous real estate purchases, controversial social experiments, and one of the biggest tax fraud schemes of all time. It’s a fairy tale both beautiful and bizarre, and naturally, questions abound. In this whirlwind of a four-part investigative documentary series, executive producers Aurelien Leturgie and Emilie Dumay crisscross the globe in search of answers, gaining access to never-before-seen archival material and sitting down for intimate and sometimes shocking conversations with Mian and the rest of Gunther’s longtime associates in hopes of understanding the complicated truth behind the world’s wealthiest pet.
The Gunther’s Millions mini-series will be on Netflix on February 1, 2023.
My Review of Gunther’s Millions Mini-Series

As I stated, this was NOT a story I was expecting to watch. It was a documentary about a story that was completely different than one would expect. It honestly took till almost the end of the second episode for me to get interested fully.
Once I learned the full story, it made a bit more sense why everything happened the way it did. So many people chase after happiness in all the wrong places. I have been one of them.
Ironically, there was a time when I was a woman who was desperately seeking happiness in all the wrong places. I never dabbled in drugs and alcohol, but I did go down the rabbit hole of having sex leisurely with anyone that looked like good eye candy.
But then I realized how much I was truly harming my life rather than enhancing it! That was also before I fully let God take the wheel of my life. I’m still not as spiritually filled as some people that are within my circle of life. But I have noticed that the more I read the Bible the more I see how much more peace I have in my life from having the faith I do have.
With that peace comes a ton of appreciation and happiness for the life I have now. I may not have millions or live in a mansion. But I do live in a home filled with love. I know I’m fully devoted to my husband and my kids.
While this series was nowhere close to what I was expecting, it did remind me of why I love the life I have now. I also think the overall concept this series was trying to get people to really think about doing was living their version of living intentionally with their own lives.
In the case of these people in this series, it’s a TOTALLY different life than what I would choose for myself NOW! But I do know plenty of people that would want to be a part of the 5 who take care of Gunther.
Mark your calendars to consider watching the Gunther’s Millions Mini-Series on Netflix.
Sounds like one pampered pup, haha! I can completely relate in that God is really the true giver of peace. Everyone is looking for happiness, but they often don’t understand that it can’t be found in things, or being with certain people, etc.
Make Life Marvelous
This is a sad reality of the society we live in today. People do not grasp that they are seeking things that will NOT bring them the true joy they deserve to have.

It’s a LOT to take in. It takes a serious while to fully get the story. And I have plenty more to say about the show, but I want it to be on air for awhile before I release any spoilers.

Love the connections you made with the story in this docuseries! The things most people chase are so fleeting. Reading your review, I am definitely interested in watching this bizarre tale that seems almost like it was made for fiction.
It is definitely bizarre! That is the word I was looking for while trying to describe it! It is the oddest thing I’ve watched in a LONG time. But yet it made my mind whirl a lot, but if I share my full thoughts on the show I’ll give too much away.
