We got a new Samsung Electric Conventional with an Air Fryer Oven. We have been having fun cooking in a conventional oven with an air fryer. While this Oven Air Fried BBQ Chuck Roast doesn't necessarily qualify as a quick and easy recipe, it's so delicious I couldn't resist sharing it with you. This roast comes out tasty and moist!
This Oven Air Fried BBQ Chuck Roast is sure to be a huge hit in your family. It has a delicious flavor, moist, and tender. It doesn't take all day to cook it. #recipe #sharinglifesmoments #familymeals #airfryer
Cover your roast with your seasoning mixture (mix all four spices together to your desired amount.) You cook it in your oven on-air fry bake at 350 degrees for 90 minutes. Then you take the roast out and cover it in tin foil with three tablespoons of butter. Then you put it back in the oven at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Then you pull the roast out and unwrap it to add the BBQ sauce of your choice. Then you rewrap the roast and cook it for an additional 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
I'm confident you can adjust this recipe to use it in your standard air fryers, but I'm not sure about the length of time it would take. This recipe uses an almost 3 lb chuck roast.
Update July 2023
We recently tried to recreate this recipe using our PowerXL Air Fryer and cutting the roast size down to 1.5 lbs each, and we wanted to share our experience. Although the temperature remained consistent, the cooking times differed slightly between our two air fryers. It's worth noting that we own two of these models, and each one seems to cook differently. As a result, it's challenging to provide an exact time frame for cooking. However, cutting the times mentioned in the recipe in half worked well for us. We hope this information is helpful to anyone looking to try out this recipe in their air fryer.

Ilove having friends over for a bbq so I’m going to follow your recipe#dreamteam
This is designed to be cooked with an air fryer. But I believe it could be modified to work on a grill too.

Chuck roast is one of my go-to cuts of meat. But I have never tried cooking one in my air fryer. I’ll have to give this a try.
I wish I could have gotten better images of this meal because this is a delicious meal. It’s not overly hard to make.
