I added the Boss Mom book to my 24 books to read in 2024 list because I read it years ago and felt it was helpful to my blogging business. I wanted to review this book again to see what it would provide for me in this life cycle.

Boss Mom: The Ultimate Guide to Raising a Business & Nurturing Your Family Like a Pro
Imagine melting away all of the guilt, fear, and anxiety about being able to be both a passionate mom and a passionate entrepreneur, and replacing them with feelings of confidence, excitement and fulfillment. What about not feeling so overwhelmed by actually trying to simultaneously raise a family AND a business. Sounds magical doesn’t it? Boss Mom can help you get there.
Boss Mom was created to do two things. First, to help dramatically shift your mindset about how you see yourself and your role as a mother, entrepreneur, wife, daughter, friend and more. An epic shift that will allow you to see how you can be amazing in each of these roles without sacrificing the others. And second, to guide you through a new way of thinking about how you integrate your family life with your entrepreneurial life. And to give you a plan that you can begin to implement that will make your world feel a little easier.
My Boss Mom Book Review

The book Boss Mom is specifically tailored for women beginning their business and family journey. It was written when Dana was pregnant with her second child and still learning the ropes in the online business world. At that time, I was in a similar position as she was, having started my first blog (which I later regrettably sold).
While starting a family and a business, she shared all the valuable lessons she learned. I found myself agreeing with many of her insights. She emphasized the importance of combining our business and family lives to flourish truly. We cannot compartmentalize these aspects of our lives since we are one person. We need to shift our mindset and stop feeling guilty for wanting to have a successful business and a fulfilling family life.
There are plenty of people who will make you feel guilty for wanting to have a life outside of motherhood. However, I have always found that I thrive more in being a mother and a wife when pursuing things I’m passionate about. My husband and kids will tell you when I get time to write on the blog and ride my four-wheeler. I’m extremely happy and tend to be more productive in our home.
Blogging has gotten in my blood since I joined the blogging world in 2012. I love the connections I have made online. I like knowing that I might be helping someone improve their life somehow.
Boss Mom is a solid reminder and guide to help women to be able to learn how to juggle both aspects in their life. She also has an active solid Facebook group filled with aspiring women who love to help empower and help fellow women out. I’ve found many amazing online entrepreneurs and resources in this group alone.
So, if you’re looking for a book to help you adjust to being a new mom and entrepreneur, then yes, Boss Mom is a book you want to read. She does provide resources to help you improve your life. She helps you find ways to organize everything. This book also helps you improve your mindset regarding family and business.
