As an entrepreneur who has been working independently off and on since 2006, I know the importance of reading books for entrepreneurs. Reading inspirational books can help you push yourself to the next level on your self made the entrepreneurial journey. Throughout the years, I’ve read my fair share of them. Yet my list has drastically grown by networking with like-minded people. Each year I do decide to create a list of books worth reading.

Life-Changing Book Club Invite

This year I’ve invited my newsletter subscribers for the chance to join a life-changing book club. I’d like to extend the invite to anyone who is interested in picking one to two books a month to read together. Then we will meet up either weekly/monthly via the online communication system and discuss how this book has enhanced our lives in some way. I’d like to choose from this list I’m sharing with you now.

I would like to create an accountability/friendship style group. If I have enough interest, I can divide the people off into small groups if need be. That way we each get our chance to be heard and feel like it’s worth our time and energy.

If you’re interested email me at [email protected] with the subject line Life-Changing Book Club.

Think and Grow Rich

Think and Grow Rich has been called the “Granddaddy of All Motivational Literature.” It was the first book to boldly ask, “What makes a winner?” The man who asked and listened for the answer, Napoleon Hill, is now counted in the top ranks of the world’s winners himself. The most famous of all teachers of success spent “a fortune and the better part of a lifetime of effort” to produce the “Law of Success” philosophy that forms the basis of his books and that is so powerfully summarized in this one.

Rising Strong: How the Ability to Reset Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead

Walking into our stories of hurt can feel dangerous. But the process of regaining our footing in the midst of struggle is where our courage is tested and our values are forged. Our stories of struggle can be big ones, like the loss of a job or the end of a relationship, or smaller ones, like a conflict with a friend or colleague. Regardless of magnitude or circumstance, the rising strong process is the same: We reckon with our emotions and get curious about what we’re feeling; we rumble with our stories until we get to a place of truth; and we live this process, every day, until it becomes a practice and creates nothing short of a revolution in our lives. Rising strong after a fall is how we cultivate wholeheartedness. It’s the process, Brown writes, that teaches us the most about who we are.
