Life is one big rollercoaster, isn’t it? When you are younger, and your parents take care of everything, you really don’t realize the true impact that adulthood can have on you or had on them at the time. As long as you were fed, enjoyed recreation time, and were lucky enough to get a decent education, you were happy. However, fast forward to today, and you may have started to feel the strains of life, and it can be very stressful and damaging to your mental health.
Of course, the saving grace is that you are not alone in feeling these things. We all have strains, some worse than others, but we face different stages and issues. It can help us readdress them and make some positive changes that can help us move forward instead of taking steps back. So here are some of the common strains of life we can all face, hopefully enabling you to feel less alone and perhaps even arming you with the tools and tips to help you get through it.

Relationship strain
Relationships can be up and down. In the beginning, you are full of lust and attraction for one another, but as time goes on, things can change. For some, you get into a routine of living with one another, accepting each other’s quirks and flaws, and embracing the positive elements of each other’s personality. However, relationships can also head south, and things can start to fail as you realize that you might not be as compatible as you once thought.
You may have gotten to the stage of marriage, where you pledged to be together forever, and things might start to go wrong. It can happen to any of us and there can be many reasons that influence it. You have the issues of the future, perhaps wanting different things. Maybe one of you wants to start a family and the other isn’t ready to let go of the freedom that not having children can bring. It could be that you both eagerly want to start a family and it isn’t happening, causing strain on your relationship as you navigate the unknown. The best advice is to remember that often if you are happier apart, then that can be the best decision, as much as it can be commendable to work on your relationship and give it your best shot. Only you know the answer.
Financial strain
Your finances can be a huge strain on your life, and possibly the one thing that we can all have in common. Everyone’s financial situation will be different and this has a few different things to base it on. It could be that one person earns more than you do, but then equally they may have higher outgoings because of the lifestyle they have grown accustomed to. Financial strain can be brought on by a sudden change in circumstances, perhaps not earning as much or losing a job, for example.
Of course, the best financial advice is not to bury your head in the sand. If you have debts, it may be time to make them a focus. If you struggle to make ends meet or repay things like a mortgage, then long-term solutions like bankruptcy might need to be explored. This is when places like Oak Tree Law could help you out and give you some sound advice. Getting your budget in order is the key to ensuring that you can get yourself through this hardship. The best thing about financial strain is that your situation can change.
Career strain
We get it: careers are something that you are either immensely proud of, that you do to earn a living, or that you are unhappy with because you have ended up doing something you don’t love. We have all been there. Careers are something that often not all of us know what we want to do at such a young age. When we are in school or college, not all of us have the future thinking to know where our skills will lie best or what we will be passionate about. If you find yourself stuck in a career that you don’t enjoy, is it time to make a change?
It could be a good idea to really think about what you like to do or where you have experience. This could open up opportunities to help you regarding where you want to move to, what you might want to do, or if even having your own business could be a good place to start. The best thing about career strain and feeling the pressure is that you can make the change. You just need the confidence in your decision, and the faith to make the change.
Health strain
Finally, it might be time to start thinking about your health. You may be under some health strain already, or perhaps you are prone to feeling under the weather and wondering if something else lurks within. Your health is by far one of the most important aspects of your life. After all, without it, you are not living and enjoying the life that you have. It can be challenging to predict if you are going to come under health strain, so it may be time to re-address your lifestyle instead. Even if you have had a health scare, it can be enough to encourage you to make some changes.
It might be time to look at how you live your life. For example, your diet. Do you have a balanced diet? Do you take time to nourish your body with the fuel it needs to function, give you energy, and help your body thrive? Perhaps you may need to look at the amount of exercise you do, how you spend your time, or how you reduce stress in your life so you can better care for your mental health. It may be just what you need to help you make positive changes for the future. It might even be beneficial to consider seeking out mental health treatment.
Let’s hope these tips help you overcome some of the every day strains in life.

I think financial strain is the biggest one of all and can take the biggest toll even over most health issues. I was watching a special which said stress is an overlooked epidemic in this country.
That sounds like an interesting show to watch. I agree that it is having a huge impact on our country. I feel much of it is self-imposed, whether intentionally or not.
