I must say, Ordinary Angels has been the best movie I’ve seen this year! If you’re anything like me and love inspirational and motivational films, you must give this one a watch. And let’s be honest, who isn’t a fan of Alan Ritchson? I was beyond excited to be chosen to review this film, and it did not disappoint. Trust me, you won’t regret watching Ordinary Angels.
About Ordinary Angels Movie
Based on a remarkable true story, ORDINARY ANGELS centers on Sharon (Hilary Swank), a fierce but struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky who discovers a renewed sense of purpose when she meets Ed (Alan Ritchson), a widower working hard to make ends meet for his two daughters. With his youngest daughter waiting for a liver transplant, Sharon sets her mind to helping the family and will move mountains to do it. What unfolds is the inspiring tale of faith, everyday miracles, and ordinary angels.

My Review of Ordinary Angels Movie
Ordinary Angels is one of those movies where you’ll want a box of tissues as you watch it. It’s moving in all the right ways!
Ordinary Angels is a movie that showcases the POWER of how God uses the people in our lives to help us throughout our lives. Granted, it does come across as unrealistic and over the top, but here’s the thing I’ve learned: if we allow God to work THROUGH us, he can make the impossible seem like nothing! That’s the beauty of this movie: it gives us a VISUAL of it all happening!
I was in a major car accident in Feb. 2006; it crushed my right ankle and my left middle finger. At that time, I was a newlywed with two little kids and had just landed my job as a manager at Waffle House. Talk about a life changer and an eye-opening experience. The doctors who looked at my ankle told me I’d never walk again. I looked at him and told him you’re wrong! I knew that with total, utter conviction.
While I was literally trapped on our couch with my legs all propped up, feeling severely helpless and scared, my mom rolled up into the yard in her Ford 250 truck with her long bed FILLED to the rim with food, living supplies, and some cash provided by the church. To this day, I don’t think the church family will ever know what that meant to me. But that was a magical and ever-lasting memory for me! God’s people showed up for our family!
One of my favorite scenes in Ordinary Angel is where the woman says:
Life is about saying yes and then figuring out how! #lifetips #sharinglifesmoments #moviequotes~ Ordinary Angels Click To TweetSo often, we don’t trust when God states he’ll provide what we need when we need it. As a result, we end up sinking and suffering longer than necessary. I believe Ordinary Angels makes a valid case in showing this father how powerful having faith and LIVING it out can be.
