4 Tips To Live in the Moment

You’ve heard the common phrase, it’s important to be present at the moment. You may have heard other similar advice such as “Live in the moment” or “All you have is right now”. All of these boils down to some basic message: it’s vital to live in the present moment. Being in the year 2020, we’re constantly distracted by our phones, our computer, watches and any other smart device that comes within 2 inches from us. There may be always something that you need to prepare for and our lives can be so well documented that it can be easy to get lost in the past or a ‘what if’ thought as well. 

Given the fast pace and difficult schedules that we all have, there is always a level of stress and unhappiness that can creep up from time to time. To help with turning those negative thoughts of the worry out, there are a few tips to help you. To truly live in the moment, it’s working on being present. Learn To Balance Your Past  

Of course, it’s good to think about the past and what could happen in the future. Where would we be if we never planned for our future or prepared for what is to come? It’s essential to have a healthy life to think about it from time to time but it’s focusing too intently on either the future or the past. Thinking about it too much can have a serious negative effect on our lives. Take It In Small Doses 

In order to help you attempt to balance everything as best, you can, think about your future and your past in small doses. You may have heard people say that yoga is a great way to get connected to the present and live in the moment. One way they work on this with you is talking about focusing on your breathing. Your breath is always there and it’s our breath that is our constant connection to here and now. When we focus on our attention on our breath, we have no choice but to be present and bring yourself to what is happening around you.
