I have been in and out of the blogging world since 2012. Whenever I think I’m going to throw my hands up and quit blogging something always pulls me back into it. My love of blogging is solid and true. But one thing I have realized is unless you have a blogging tribe making this journey with you, it can be a very lonesome adventure. Not to mention, there is SOOOO much to learn and conquer.
What is a Blogging Tribe
There are many definitions of what makes up a blogging tribe. Technically speaking you can run it any way you see fit.
However, for me personally, a blogging tribe is a group of bloggers working alongside other bloggers to grow our OWN blogs together.
If you’ve been in the blogging world for any length of time, then you know that there is far more that goes into running a successful blog than just writing a blog post, taking/using a few pictures, and putting it on a website. There are a ton of little aspects that make a professional blog run and create income.
There is a long list of ways in which a person can make money using a blog. But in order to get to that point, you have to obtain an audience for your site. Since you’re competing against billions of other sites (if not more), you have to know all the ins and outs to make that happen.
So, in essence…for me… a blogging tribe is a group of bloggers who wholeheartedly work TOGETHER to make each other’s blogs a HUGE success.

Some of the things a blogging tribe can do TOGETHER to grow THEIR OWN Personal blogs include and are not limited to:
- Share each other’s posts on social media, email newsletters, videos, etc.
- Write guest posts on each other blogs
- Help teach each other things they’ve known
- Trade-off on tasks that we’re each exceptionally skilled at
- Do lives together
- Create videos together
- Create products to sell together
- Bounce ideas off each other
- Co-Work to hold each other accountable
Why You Need to Join/Create a Blogging Tribe
A blogging tribe is amazing to have because you have someone in your corner with you helping you to make your professional blogging career a dream come true. As much as you may want to have total and complete control over every aspect of your blogging life, it’s near impossible to be skilled or even available on all things.
A blogging tribe becomes your team! If everyone on it works diligently together then each individual blog can complement each other and grow leaps and bounds compared to trying to grow your blog by yourself.
Common Questions About Blogging Tribes :
Does each of your blogs need to be in the same niche? The short answer is not necessary. However, if you are close in a niche at least, it does make it more beneficial for all involved. But I have been a part of a blogging tribe where we all COVERED totally different topics, but I gained a ton still working with those lovely ladies!
Is being a part of a blogging tribe time-consuming? It can be! However, it’s far better than spinning your wheels and wasting time trying to do and learn things on your own.
Does it cost anything to be a part of a blogging tribe? NO! I do know there are PLENTY of blogging masterminds that charge. (They are basically the same thing, but have people who have some skin in the game because they DID pay to be a part of it.) But you get out of a blogging tribe what you put into it!
I am determined to find a solid blogging tribe to work with within 2023 and beyond. I want this to be a lasting partnership. I know the value of working with other bloggers who has similar missions with their blogs can achieve. Financial freedom is within our grasp!

I do hope that you’ll consider joining the blogging tribe I’m creating for 2023.
But to find your own blogging tribe, you could reach out to bloggers that you would want to work with and ask them if they are interested in creating something along these lines together.

Crystal these are such great points. Working a tribe takes up time but the freedom of having a large, loyal friend network promoting you freely through multiple channels makes up for the time and work investment.

Total agree about finding a blogging tribe. Some friends don’t get blogging or not interested in hearing what you are doing so blogging tribe is important. I’m on a Facebook blogging group. Also Mondays Esme Salon has a link party.
Blogging tribes make blogging so much more fun for sure! I love making #bloggersconnecting moments. I hope to build up that community throughout this year and beyond.
