If you would like to make the most out of your home life, and the time you are spending on spring cleaning, you will have to start with a plan that allows you to tackle the things you normally don’t pay attention to. There are a couple of places you might not think about cleaning, still, they can pose a danger to your family’s health if you are not checking them regularly. Find out more below.

Be sure that you aren't missing these areas from your spring cleaning routine. Are you hitting all of these spots while you're cleaning?

Under the Cupboards

If you have a built-in kitchen cabinet, there will be a removable cover at the bottom that will give you access to space underneath. This is usually a damp and dark place where insects and small rodents love hiding. It might be a good idea to get in touch with ABC Pest Control and find a way to put an end to your infestation. Even if you cannot see evidence, it is better to be safe than sorry.

Hidden Corners

Once you start your spring cleaning, it is important that you move your furniture around, so you can spot the problems easier. There will be some corners in your home where the dust has built upon the skirting boards or ones that are not properly ventilated, and this is going to be a breeding ground for mold, which can cause all sorts of respiratory problems.

Drains

You might think that cleaning your sink is enough, but if your drains are smelling funny all the time, and only bleach can get rid of the odor, you will need to tackle the issue during your next spring clean. You might want to take the elbow part of your drain apart to see if there is any hair or other build-up. You can use professional thick drain cleaning solutions that will help you get rid of the blockage without getting your hands dirty.

Air Ducts

It is also important that you pay attention to the hidden dangers coming from your HVAC system. It is recommended that you get your air ducts cleaned and checked regularly, but you should not forget about your air filters, either. They will need to be changed before the season changes; after all, it is always cheaper to replace a small part than the whole system.

Electrical Appliances

We use our electrical appliances every day, and if we are filling them with water, we automatically assume that they are clean. You couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, you can see residue buildup in kettles, as well as in washing machines. Just go ahead and pull out the drawer of your washing machine or dishwasher, and you will discover how dirty they can be. As a part of your spring cleaning project, tackle the hidden areas where bacteria can build up.

If you would like to do your spring cleaning properly, it might be time to think about the areas you have been neglecting or missing for the past few years.
