If you have the time and money to travel, do so! Travel can be very good for us mentally and physically, and the more we do it, the more benefit we get from it. And yes, jet lag is hard to deal with, but once you’re off the plane and on the other side of your journey, you’ll soon forget you’re tired! So, long story short, travel more often if you can. It’s very good for you; here are three little ways to make a difference in your life through it.

Why Travel Is So Good For You 1

You Can Make Some Amazing Friends

And you never would have met or made these friends if you only stayed at home! Traveling opens us up to all kinds of new experiences. If you happen to get chatting with a few locals or fellow travelers along the way, what’s the harm?

Making new friends feels good, and it’s one of life’s most simple (yet often seen as difficult) pleasures. You get to connect with someone on a level of understanding that’s hard to find elsewhere, and when the two of you are from completely different backgrounds, you bring all kinds of new experiences to the table. That’s great for an enriching life!

It’s the Best Opportunity to Refresh Your Health

Travel can show us what we’re made of. It can be hard on the body, especially if you spend hours on a plane and have multiple layovers to get there and back again, but it’s also a reminder that you’re alive!

This is good for your mental and physical health, as you can get a workout and shake off stress from the life you’ve left behind. Really, traveling can be seen as

Travel can even open you up to the world of medical tourism, making it easier to avoid waiting lists and access both essential and cosmetic treatments. Of course, always listen to bona fide medical advice in a case like this to make sure you’re not paying out of pocket or opening yourself up to a scam.

It’s a Reminder You Can Do Anything

If you’re going to get on a plane and fly thousands of miles across the globe or spend weeks trekking somewhere like the Appalachian Trail, take a moment to think about what you’re really doing. Take stock of the moment – where you are, what you can see, what it took to get here, etc.- and think about what that means for you and your life.

You’re making a change in your life, doing something people used to think difficult or even impossible, and having a good time while you’re doing it. Travel, at its core, is a simple reminder that you can do anything, and that can be a great confidence boost after months of stress at home!

Travel is good for you in a variety of ways. Experience them all!
