When I first saw the trailer for the film White Bird, I was immediately captivated and knew that I absolutely had to see it. As someone who is deeply passionate about inspirational and motivational movies, I was drawn to the powerful story that aims to impart important lessons about kindness and empathy to a young man. “White Bird” promises to be a source of profound and impactful lessons.

My Review of White Bird Movie

The White Bird movie was not fully what I was expecting it to be. However, it was still an inspirational and motivating movie. I would recommend streaming this movie because I had to watch it spuriously. I kept losing interest in the film because the storyline was a bit slow and drawn out.

That said, I feel this movie has a powerful message to share. It clearly showcases the power of one person’s kindness, impacting so many lives. Seeing the outcome is heartwrenching, but it shows that we all truly have a purpose.

White Bird is also a reminder that having prejudices against a particular race, religion, etc, is wrong and damaging for so many. I’ve stressed this what feels like a thousand times, but just in case you are new here, I will never judge a person based on religion, color, sex, sexual origin, etc! Everyone is unique, and quite frankly, it is NOT my place to judge anyone. That’s not to say I won’t have opinions, but it doesn’t mean I can’t still care about you as an individual, even if we have different opinions and viewpoints.

That certainly doesn’t grant me the right to kill anyone over their culture and upbringing. It is soul-crushing to hear the story of the life Jews had. I didn’t particularly appreciate reading about it in history classes and watching this woman’s story; even though it didn’t show the true harshness of it all, it showed enough to make me feel for her.

I can easily see this becoming the future for Christians. But that doesn’t mean we can’t positively impact the society we live in today by practicing kindness. Practicing kindness, we help those around us and creates a better society.

I believe the ending is my favorite part. She stresses the importance of us being the light in this world. In Ephesians 4:32, it is stated, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” As I was reviewing the Life in Christ Bible, I couldn’t help but notice how fitting this section of the Bible went with this movie.

Overall, the White Bird movie is worth watching. It hits theaters on October 4th. It is a great date night movie because it leaves you with tons of discussion points afterward.
