The Life List Movie Review

I have been eyeing this movie since I saw the preview, which feels like ages ago. I have been missing my mom fiercely over the last six months. And my bonus mom is not doing well, so this movie definitely brought on the tears for me each time I watched it. (I watched it TWICE in one weekend, and I haven’t done that with any movie since I was a kid.) The Life List movie will hit all the feelings!

My Review of The Life List Movie

Material possessions have never been very important to me, except for four items my dad bought because his love language is giving gifts. Those items hold significant meaning: my gold chain necklace with a horse charm rearing up (I’ve always had a fondness for rearing high horses), my class ring, my first truck, and his effort to ensure I have my current vehicle. I lost my precious necklace and have LONGED for another one. But I have not found another one anywhere.

This movie could have been made especially for me because I spent over half my life preparing to be a teacher and was inspired to open an equine therapy center to help abused horses and troubled teens. That dream has been weighing on me lately since my youngest daughter wants to learn to ride horses with a strong passion, but finding someone to train her around my work schedule is near impossible.

True Love Test:

Can you tell him everything in your heart?
Is he kind?
Does he help you become the best version of yourself?
Can you imagine him as the father of your children?

These are all such amazing questions to ask about true love. Del and I have gone through so many things over the 30+ years of knowing each other. But through it all, he’s ALWAYS been my first call for any and everything in my life! He’s always encouraged me and tried to push me to come out of my shell. I am the one holding myself back! He is kind, but his patience isn’t always there. He is the father of our children, and he does the best he can as a father.

Our love has been put to the test over the years. But I will forever say that true love never fails.

She discussed the concept of settling in life. Although I enjoy it, I have settled into a job that doesn’t fulfill my soul like teaching once did. Now that my youngest child is in high school, my homeschooling journey is ending. This transition is making me realize that I still yearn to teach in some capacity.

Everyone should do something scary at least once a day. I have been trying to do that more lately, but I still hold back too much. I have always felt that there is a time and a place for everything, and I’m HORRIBLE at procrastination.

The Life List movie is eye-opening at best. It will make you think about your own life, inspire you, and move you. Of course, it could be so powerful for me because I watched it, but I still feel you can appreciate it, too.
