About Sketch Movie

Sketch Movie Review 1

When a young girl’s sketchbook falls into a strange pond, her drawings come to life—unpredictable, chaotic, and dangerously real. As the town unravels, she and her brother must track down the creatures before they leave permanent damage. Their father, racing to find them through the fallout, must navigate a town in crisis to reunite his family and stop the disaster they never meant to unleash.

My Review of Sketch Movie

I watched the movie trailer for the Sketch movie, thinking it was going to be just a cute kids’ movie that Zeva and I may enjoy. Well, it was more than that! It’s rated PG, but I’m not so confident that I’d be eager to take younger kids to see it.

But with that said, there’s nothing overly horrible. But if you have a child who has a fear of things hiding behind closed doors or bugs…

You might want to consider seeing something else.

The Sketch movie entertained my thirteen-year-old from the word go till it ended. She loved it! I didn’t fully expect that to happen. She laughed at me as I cringed at the unexpected moments and the fact that I couldn’t stand the Eyeders.

The movie wove in its lessons subtly, without feeling preachy. Themes like bullying and harassment, the importance of empathy, and the value of teamwork were all thoughtfully portrayed throughout the story.

Overall Thoughts

This movie is ideal for children eight and up, in my opinion. I also feel adults can appreciate it as much as the kids. It’s not one that you’re quick to forget by any means.
