I have been eagerly anticipating diving into Lucy Score’s Knockemout series. I’ve been avidly reading and analyzing reviews of the books for some time now, and I can’t wait to share my thoughts with you.

About Things We Never Got Over (Knockemout Book 1) by Lucy Score Book

Naomi wasn’t just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her estranged twin to Knockemout, Virginia, a rough-around-the-edges town where disputes are settled the old-fashioned way…with fists and beer. Usually in that order.
Too bad for Naomi her evil twin hasn’t changed at all. After helping herself to Naomi’s car and cash, Tina leaves her with something unexpected. The niece Naomi didn’t know she had. Now she’s stuck in town with no car, no job, no plan, and no home with an 11-year-old going on thirty to take care of.
There’s a reason Knox doesn’t do complications or high-maintenance women, especially not the romantic ones. But since Naomi’s life imploded right in front of him, the least he can do is help her out of her jam. And just as soon as she stops getting into new trouble he can leave her alone and get back to his peaceful, solitary life.
At least, that’s the plan until the trouble turns to real danger. Read this series to find out what happens.
There are two and a bit more books that go with this series. If you have a full weekend and are a fast reader, you will devour them. Right now, they are all available on the Kindle Unlimited plan.

My Review of the Knockemout Series
Let me say Lucy Score has another true fan now! Lucy can write!! I felt involved in all of the drama that unfolded in these books.
While I thoroughly enjoyed reading all of the books in the series, I felt like she saved the best story for last. Of course, my husband is a lot like Lucien! He’s had a hard past like mine and doesn’t show his true feelings often. But when he does, he doesn’t leave anything to chance. I can safely say that our love has always been passionate, and we fight and love each other equally.
I was impressed by how she incorporated these families’ love lives together. She showcased the value of true friendship and just how confusing love can be for all walks of life.
This series had many different storylines, but it was super easy to follow along. I didn’t miss a single thing that was happening or feel like I had to reread anything. I couldn’t wait to read the books.
Oh yeah, if you don’t like reading a bit of sexual scenes, then don’t start this series. While there is much more to these series than sex, each book has some well-written heated scenes.
All of these books have over 4.0 ratings on both Amazon and Goodreads.
I can easily see this series becoming a hit TV series one day! If it does, I’ll be the first to sign up to watch it in advance!

They sound spicy, but intriguing.
It is an entertaining series for sure. There may some spicy scenes, but it’s not filled to the rim with them.
