Do you have a resolution this year regarding your social circle? If you do, you’ve come to the perfect place! After all, we’ve all had a quiet couple of years where we’ve missed out on new connections and strengthened old ones. Even when you want to turn off your phone and spend time alone, it’s nice to know you have some real friends! Here are some hang out ideas for seeing your friends more often in 2024.

That’s made many people very excited to try new things in the year ahead, and if you want your friends to come along for the ride, we’ve got some ideas to get the ball rolling. If you want to hang out with your loved ones a little more often, here are some ideas for weekly sessions that’ll get everyone involved.
Some Cheap Perfect Hang Out Ideas for Seeing Your Friends More

Run a Regular Board Game Night
Board games are the number one activity to turn to when you want to get all your friends around. Sure, games like Monopoly can get a bit boring, but thankfully, you can try thousands of other fun games!
Some good picks are Settlers of Catan or Mysterium, but you can find a handy list of some of the best board games currently on the market right here. Check it out if you don’t already have much of a collection; you might want to pick up some new ones, great snacks, and yummy mocktails before you invite everyone around.
Have a Foodie Night
A foodie night means you cook up (or order in) as many excellent meals as you can and invite a couple of friends around to try them all. Everyone likes a good bit of food, so this idea can’t fail. Whoever comes around will have a good time, and your culinary creations can get bigger and better as you plan more nights.
Plus, a night like this is incredibly versatile. You can pair a foodie night with anything! Cocktails, cooking up some chicken wings for the big game so you can all watch together, or arts and crafts if you’re all creatively hands-on people. Try a few things and see what you enjoy.

Host a Competitive Team Race
If you’ve got quite a few friends you want to stay in touch with this year, why not arrange some competitive team days? Scavenger and/or treasure hunts, for example, or split people into two or three teams and see who can record the most entertaining short film with just a camera and $100.
Ideas involving this edge of competitiveness are always going to be fun. People like winning and will naturally want to try things out. Indeed, you might have to step outside your comfort zone for a little while, but the more you try out ideas like the ones just above, the more you’ll enjoy this kind of activity. And anything can be competitive if you assign a prize for the best results at the end!
Go Camping for the Weekend
Camping is a great group activity for friends. You don’t have to go too far, but you still take a break from the ‘daily grind,’ as it were. Make sure everyone has a sleeping bag, pack a couple of tents, take a Cooking in the Wild manual along with you, and always have a few energy bars in the bag somewhere. You don’t want anyone lagging behind when you’re trying to hike through the woods!
However, on the flip side of this, note what goes well and what doesn’t. If you find you don’t like camping together, it probably won’t be a good idea to go on a more traditional vacation unless you can be sure you can plan things everyone will want to try out!
Participate in Group Classes
Group classes are getting more and more popular across the world. After all, it’s a lot easier to try something new that takes a bit of courage, such as dancing in front of others, when you’ve got friends there to laugh along with you.
So, sign up at your local gym or community center and attend several sessions. You could even make plenty of new friends here!
If you want to see your friends more this year, make sure you take ideas like these into account. The more you try new things and invite them around so you can spend time together, the closer you’ll all feel.
