My Review of My Jesus

I was excited to read Anne Wilson’s story behind her songs. This book is a beautiful reminder of how God uses everything terrible for good.

I had a hard time reading this book because I kept thinking about how one of my friends lost her son not too long ago due to a drunk driver. Plus I was also dealing with our family losing my brother-in-law due to cancer (who has finally met his maker and is no longer in pain.) While it was hard to read Anne’s family journey during this time of my life, it was also comforting at the same time.

I loved how it gave so many references to parts of the Bible that showcase how God is there for us even in the darkest moments of our lives. Sometimes it’s so hard to remember we are NOT alone when we’re dealing with hardships.

This book is a wonderful book to read if you are dealing with the grief of losing someone you love. It will help you see things in a different light.
