I get asked quite often by family and friends what I’ve watched well lately. They know I have most of the streaming apps available online. Netflix is no exception! Now I’m sharing the Top Netflix Shows I’ve watched in 2021 and plan to watch in 2022.

Top Netflix Shows

Riverdale (2017)

Archie Andrews discovers his love for music, and his teacher. … After a teenager was murdered within the town of Riverdale, a group of teenagers, the jock Archie, the girl next door Betty, the new girl Veronica and the outcast Jughead try to unravel the evils lurking within this seemingly innocent town.

There are currently five seasons on Netflix right now, but season six is due to arrive on CW in March 2022. Hopefully,Netflix will get it shortly thereafter.

This is a fun mystery series to watch, and one that appeals to anyone over age 10. There are enough twists and turns in this drama to keep you wanting to watch more.

Ginny and Georgia

Teenage Ginny and her family yearn to put down roots in a picturesque New England town after years on the run.

This is such an easy show to watch. I loved the relationship between Ginny and Georgia. However, the reality is very few mothers and daughters have that kind of bond. (Although, I do feel my youngest daughter and I are extremely close.)

Season 2 is set to come on Netflix towards the end of 2022.

Bridgeton

Wealth, lust, and betrayal set against the backdrop of Regency-era England, seen through the eyes of the powerful Bridgerton family.

This series has a way of making you feel like you’re on fire. The primary couple in season one was filled with so much chemistry you felt it too. I don’t know how this series is going to keep that kind of track record going on throughout the rest of there series. However, I’m definitely going to be tuning in to find out.

Bridgerton season 2 premieres on Netflix on March 25, 2022.

Virgin River

Searching for a fresh start, a nurse practitioner moves from LA to a remote northern California town and is surprised by what — and who — she finds.

This series captures you right away. This series hits home if you’ve ever lived in a small town or yearned to be a part of one. I grew up in a small town where everyone knew everything about everyone.

Season 4 and 5 has been confirmed to be coming. Season 4 will be coming in 2022, but from what I can tell we don’t have a set date yet.

Sweet Magnolias

Lifelong friends lift each other up as they juggle relationships, family and careers in the small Southern town of Serenity.

This is another awesome small town show. I love the friendships displayed in this series.

Season 2 is coming to Netflix on February 4, 2022.

Sex Life

A suburban wife and mother takes a fantasy-charged trip down memory lane that sets her present on a collision course with her wild-child past.

This series creates controversial thoughts within me! It goes against everything I believe in! Yet, due to my own past, I truly UNDERSTAND the choices this main actress chooses in her life. My current husband and I have MAJOR chemistry and we mesh soooo well in that area of our life. Yet, my ex-husbands provided stability, but there was always something lacky in our sex life because ONLY my current husband has been able to release ALL of me. So, this series is one I can relate too!

Fair warning it is a very HOT and steamy series!! It is definitely not one you watch with kids around at all.

Emily in Paris

After landing her dream job in Paris, Chicago marketing exec Emily Cooper embraces her adventurous new life while juggling work, friends and romance.

I did not expect to like this series, but I devoured it in one weekend. I was super disappointed to see it come to an end.

Season 3 is coming back to Netflix at the end of 2022 if all goes well.

These top Netflix shows that I’m eager to see the next season hit Netflix. I like how there is something to look forward to this year.
