My Jerry & Marge GO LARGE Movie Review

I thought the Jerry & Marge GO LARGE movie started out a bit slow. However, it did end up being a movie that kept my kids’ and I’s attention throughout the entire thing. My son couldn’t believe it was based on a true story. Honestly, if I hadn’t watched my customer win the Pick 4 lottery so many times due to a “math error”, I doubt I would have believed this could have happened.

I like the principles this couple lived by even after they won so much money. It’s always refreshing to see when people can help others around them. I wish this was a normal practice in our society, but unfortunately, too many people are like the young kid who went against them in the movie.

In the society we live in today we live in a dog-eat-dog world. Everyone is after what they can gain for themselves, not caring how they are harming those around them. It breaks my heart because we don’t see the value of working together to make our world a better place.

My generation grew up hearing we were the ones who were going to change the world. I feel we have, but not in the way I think we thought we would. Many hard-core values that kept our society on the level ground have vanished. Respect for each other, work ethics, teamwork, and not giving up on each other seems to have become a lost art. While I don’t believe this movie intended to cover those topics fully, I feel that they did do it.
