I woke up early on Saturday morning with an overwhelming urge to write a blog post about how many wealthy individuals seem to forget that they put their pants on one leg at a time, just like the rest of us. In my dream, I found myself at an upscale restaurant surrounded by CEOs and other high-powered professionals. Unfortunately, I witnessed some of them treating the servers poorly, as if those employees existed solely to cater to their whims. One individual lost their temper and began belittling a server, causing her to leave the table in tears.

In that moment, I felt compelled to remind everyone present that they were not superior to that server. Life can change dramatically in an instant; titles and financial status do not determine worth—everyone, from servers to janitors, shares this common humanity. You never know when someone might find themselves reliant on others for basic needs or when that very server you dismissed could win millions and someday own the company where they once served.

We live in a society where many are cutting off their noses despite their faces—a realization I’ve come to understand all too well! There was a time when I fell into this trap myself. I believe God allowed me to be bedridden during each pregnancy for strong reasons; he spared my life after my car accident as well. These experiences humbled me and reminded me that no one is inherently better than another.

God also wanted me to appreciate the importance of surrounding ourselves with righteous people. We are all God’s children, called not only to stand firm in our faith but also to live it out through love and support for those around us—regardless of appearances or behavior. Judgment is not our role; instead, we must shower others with compassion.

However, corporations today seem increasingly disconnected from societal needs, prioritizing profit over people. This focus leads lower-level employees into burnout without any real progress in their lives, while customers worry about whether they’re receiving quality products or services.

Moreover, we face another challenge: generations who struggle with meaningful public interaction due to excessive screen time have led companies to replace human workers with AI technology, further diminishing essential human connections. While I utilize AI tools myself for refinement purposes, they will never replace my voice or passion as an opinionated individual.

The core message here is simple: those wielding power often forget their humble beginnings—the same place where we all learned how to put our pants on one leg at a time. Yes, some may have made more advantageous choices along the way; however, countless individuals like me contribute significantly to keeping these leaders’ pockets full while being overlooked.

It’s crucial for someone within these power structures—or even outside them—to genuinely care about everyone—not just those sitting next door in positions of authority. Our country truly requires a thorough reevaluation! While fairness across the board may be unrealistic, work mustn’t lead us to scrape by just to make ends meet.

While my dream prompted me to write this blog post, a friend of mine was encouraged to share the message below on her Facebook page the same day. I’ve seen many more posts like this being shared. I feel like the Holy Spirit is moving all around us.

This is your reminder to treat everyone around you with kindness and love. You never know when your very circumstances will change, and that person next to you becomes your lifesaver.
