My Review
“God’s Country Song” follows the story of Noah, a man who is willing to do anything to pursue his dreams despite feeling broken inside. Through a journey of seeking forgiveness and redemption, he realizes the importance of faith and family in his life.
Noah goes through a lot of growth in this movie. He learns the value of not relying on one’s own abilities and non-healthy substances to get through life. He gains a stronger perspective on the true meaning of family.
I can relate to this movie in many ways because there were many things my mom did that caused distance between us. I never fully understood why she did the things she did until I became a single mother myself. Then I found a new appreciation for all the things she did for us.
Similar to Noah’s father, she didn’t make a real effort to communicate anything with me. Therefore, I was left to my own devices and drew my own conclusions. Boy did I get things completely wrong?
Sometimes in life forgiving family members is the hardest thing to do. We expect family members to treat us better than others in this world. Yet, family members are human like everyone else. We make mistakes.
It’s often said that we unintentionally hurt the people we love the most, simply because we feel at ease around them and let our guard down. This results in us making more mistakes than usual.
I encourage individuals to view God’s Country Song as it provides valuable insight into various family dynamics and the significance of forgiveness.
