As a mother of three kids, I can testify that it’s not always the easiest job to take on! We welcome our kids into the world with nothing but the best of intentions. Then life happens and things don’t go according to plan. I don’t know too many parents who have managed to NOT say or do something they regret with their kids. Like Arrows is a gentle reminder to parents that there is a guide and Heavenly Father who is here to help us on the parenthood journey.
About Like Arrow
When conflict, rebellion, and resentment overwhelm their family, Charlie and
Alice are forced to rethink their parenting strategy. In the process, they realize how
critical intentionality and focus are when shaping and molding young lives. FamilyLife’s
first feature film explores the challenges and joys that come with raising children.
Through a journey that unfolds over 50 years, Charlie and Alice discover the
unmistakable power of family. Together, they learn that knowing and living by God’s
Word is what brings transformation and hope to any family.
This movie is only going to be available in select movie theaters on May 1st and 3rd!
I knew I’d like this movie because the Kendrick brothers haven’t made a movie I haven’t liked yet!
This movie hits to the heart of almost any parent I know. I liked how it showcased parenting through all stages of life.
There were some scenes in it that reminded me of myself, and it honestly upset me. Yet, at the same time, I know that I’ve been working on those kinks in myself already. Regardless how old my kids get and how many I have, I have learned that each one of them is different and needs different things from me. God blessed me with them for a reason, and I thank him daily for them. They challenge me daily. Sometimes I wonder who’s teaching who more, but that’s the blessing of being a parent.
It is my hope that I will be a solid #LikeArrow for them as they grow older. Sometimes tough love is required, but without it, I’m failing them.
This movie does show us how we can get on the right path with the whole parenting journey. I hope to find a local church hosting the parenting groups. There are some guides to get us started on the movie website too.
I recommend that you make arrangements to go see this movie if you can in your area on May 1st & 3rd. Click here to see if it’s available in your local area: http://familylifeministries.org/likearrows/tickets/.
