I’m always on the hunt for ways to make homeschooling my kids more entertaining for them. I’ll also admit that I use a vast amount of technology resources to help them to learn independently as much as possible too. So far, it works wonders for my kids and myself. When we were given the chance to review the KidloLand App for Zeva, I was thrilled for both of us.
About the KidloLand App
The KidloLand App is an app that is filled with over 700+ nursery rhymes, songs, stories, activities, and games for kids. This app is broken down for easy maneuvering throughout the app. This app is designed for kids ages 0-5 years old. You can purchase a subscription for this app at reasonable prices by choosing between three options: $4.99/ month, $24.99/ 6 months or the best value: $39.99/ year. This app is available on iOS, Android, and Google Play.
My Review
Zeva is almost five years old, but we haven’t spent a lot of time on her learning educational materials as of yet. I let her learn things at her own pace still, and for her age, she’s doing rather well. She’s not above average in knowledge by any means, but she has learned many basics.
I strive to give her fun apps to play on my Kindle Fire . She also has many websites she goes to for her “lessons”, but beyond that, I don’t push formal education on her just yet. I figure she’ll get plenty of that when she starts Kindergarten. (I learned with the boys that when they reached Kindergarten they were complete bored because they had already learned EVERYTHING.)
I love the Kidloland app because it teaches her so much without her really realizing she’s learning the material. There are many challenging games for her to play that while she’s playing she learns her numbers, coordination, and problem-solving skills. She learns many of the famous nursery rhymes, and many fun songs about shapes. She also loves learning about the different animals.
Once she gets started playing with this app she really doesn’t want to stop. She can sit on my desk playing with this app peacefully while I work for hours. She hasn’t needed my help a lot to get through the different apps. She loves how it rewards her with loads of praise too when she gets things right.
This app has made me quite happy because I can see her learning a wide range of topics. Plus, it has enhanced her confidence. It keeps her from feeling “left out” from doing school work without adding to her frustration because she has to work too hard at this point in her life. It’s a win-win for both of us. Let’s not forget that they add new content to this app every month too so your child never gets tired of seeing the same things. There is also NO ads on this app so you don’t have to worry about your child being taken to a place they don’t need to be. I like that this app is set up to where Zeva doesn’t get tempted to leave what she’s doing.
