Thanksgiving Day Traditions – #FridayFrivolity

Thanksgiving and Christmas are two pretty big holidays in our home. Del is the COOK of the house. He always makes us a feast that is well worth eating. He literally takes all day long to cook a huge turkey for our house and my in-laws. Him and Momma cook up all of the sides to go with it. He also makes his potatoe casserole too that literally melts in your mouth.

While he cooks, the kids and I play video games and watch movies together. Sometimes we even pull out some board and card games to play together. It’s a day of total relaxation for me. Sometimes, I even finish reading a book from cover to cover all in one day.

It doesn’t sound like a lot, but it’s definitely a day that I look forward to because I get a day off of being in charge and having to cook and clean up. I also don’t usually work on my computer at all that day either. My kids love it because we give them extra attention without school work involved.

  1. Thanks for the feature! Your Thanksgiving tradition rocks. Aside from not having to cook and clean, I’d be excited to not have to decide everything we eat for once. haha Decision making is exhausting sometimes. Happy Turkey Day to you and yours!

    • I agree with you that decision making can be a pain for sure. I can’t stand making plans for meals. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving too.
By the way, the feature was well deserved. Thank you for joining our party so I could feature you.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I hope to see you again soon.

    • The only reason it is one for me is because I’m a terrible cook!! I wish I was a better cook, but it doesn’t seem to be something that I’ll ever be fully good at doing.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting.
