Something I have been looking for is a prayer curriculum for upper elementary, and Kid Niche Christian Books and their program, Weave Your Word in Me — Part 1, is filling that need. Through this curriculum, I am able to teach my kids about God. I’m also to show them how they can have a lasting close-knit relationship with him.
About Weave Your Word In Me Part 1
Weave Your Word in Me Part 1 is a set of 36 Bible lessons for tweens. It is ideal to use with kids in grades 4-6th. It covers topics about the God the Father and God the Son. It also teaches students how to pray to God.
This guide helps kids to be able to pray using kid-friendly wording. It is filled with over 70 colorful illustrations. It is a 72-page workbook filled with 36 lessons to help kids to actively learn more about God and the Bible.
You can get this Bible study for $20.00.
The first part of this Bible study covers how to pray to God about our needs. I can remember when I was a kid learning that concept when I was about Delbert’s age, and how it changed everything for me. I was thrilled to have the chance to help Delbert to see how to do this in his own life now. He gained the advantage of learning how to talk to God in a more natural manner using his own “kid-friendly language.” Speaking from experience, that is actually quite an advantage that he has now.
Then the Bible study covers information about who God truly is in our life. It covers many of the key verses on why we should care about who God is in our lives.
The next topic is about Jesus and many of the things he’s done for us. Many of the key stories throughout the Bible are shared.
My favorite part of the whole Bible study was when they taught about God being all-knowing. I feel that this is one of the things that helps us to all to stay on a straighter path in our life. This is something that my kids hang onto as well. It tends to be the thing that makes the biggest difference.
I also feel that this Bible study does a remarkable job of teaching kids how to pray. Praying has a way to change to everything when we are sincere within our requests. I’m also a firm believer that when we have a consistent prayer life that it can help us to keep our relationship with God strong.
There are also many other activities that are suggested to go along with this study on the Kid Niche website too. While I didn’t decide to do them, I can see how they can be something fun to do with these lessons.
Overall, I like this Bible study. This would also make a wonderful family Bible study plan too.
