Born This Way : Who Inspires You $25 Target Gift Card Giveaway

36

I love watching movies and shows that will inspire me to be a better person. Born This Way is definitely a show that fits the bill of being inspirational and educational at the same time. One thing I’ve learned as an adult is that a person who has disabilities has just as many if not more skills than I do. It definitely doesn’t make them any less a person.

About Born This Way

Born This Way
BORN THIS WAY chronicles the lives of a group of young adults born with Down syndrome as they pursue their passions while defying society’s expectations. The series also follows their parents who share their own journey of joy, sacrifice, and unconditional love.

Season 2 of BORN THIS WAY which premieres Tuesday, July 26 on A&E Network.

I have had a few people in life who have inspired me. I’d be hard pressed to pick just one person. However, I can say the woman who made the biggest impact on my life was my first manager, Cindy. Cindy pushed me hard to be the hardest worker she had. She taught me everything she could about the business long before she told me that she was making me a manager.

I’ve seen her do anything less than her best. She truly led by example. She expected nothing but the best from me. She was never cruel in her requests.

I’ve even watched her fight cancer while still working to support herself and her daughter. She never quit. She was a fighter through and through.

I feel everyone inspires others whether they want to realize it or not. I am a believer that the best way to make a positive impact on the society is to be the kind of person you hope everyone else will be.

  2. It’s nice to see more exposure for Down’s Syndrome. As a mother of a baby with dwarfism I know that tv can bring more awareness, although I don’t watch those shows I have had many people talk to me about my son with more understanding than they would have in the past. I hope this show brings the same type of awareness and knowledge!
