My Review

This book had my attention from the beginning. I loved the fact that it was a Christian novel, but yet it didn’t portray the characters as saints. This is a book that portrayed how hard it is to remain clean and some of the consequences that can happen as a result of sexual sinning.

This book taught a bit about relationships and how we should handle them. It also showcased the value and strength of true love. I related well to the main characters. The author did a fabulous job of giving every character’s points of views too.

I am eager to read the second book in this series when I can get my hands on it.

Following her bestselling debut novel Come Away with Me, Karma Brown returns with an unforgettable story that explores the intricate dynamics of friendship and parenthood

Hannah and Kate became friends in the fifth grade, when Hannah hit a boy for looking up Kate's skirt with a mirror. While they've been close as sisters ever since, Hannah can't help but feel envious of the little family Kate and her husband, David, have created—complete with two perfect little girls.

She and Ben have been trying for years to have a baby, so when they receive the news that she will likely never get pregnant, Hannah's heartbreak is overwhelming. But just as they begin to tentatively explore the other options, it's Kate's turn to do the rescuing. Not only does she offer to be Hannah's surrogate, but Kate is willing to use her own eggs to do so.

Full of renewed hope, excitement and gratitude, these two families embark on an incredible journey toward parenthood…until a devastating tragedy puts everything these women have worked toward at risk of falling apart. Poignant and refreshingly honest, The Choices We Make is a powerful tale of an incredible friendship and the risks we take to make our dreams come true.

My Review

This book didn’t grab my attention from the beginning. In fact, it took me quite a while to get interested in reading it. However, I couldn’t just ignore it and NOT read it. It was one of those stories that were a bit long and drawn out. Yet, at the same time, it was such a compelling story that it made me want to find out what happened.

This book will make you cry, rejoice, and praise God for miracles. It showcased the true value of friendship and love. The ending hurt and is a T-total tear-jerker, but it’s still lovely all at the same time.

If you can handle reading tearjerkers that have substance then you’ll savor this book.

Readers will discover hope for the hurting, joy for the broken, and romance for the lonely at the enchanting Red Door Inn.

My Review

This was a sweet romantic story to read. I loved how the main character wasn’t some gorgeous woman. The author made it so that I could relate to the main character even more. I liked how the only one who had an issue with her looks was HER.

In my experience, most women are more self-conscious about their looks than men truly care. True men look beyond the way a woman looks and sees the heart of a woman. Plus, they fall in love with who they are as a person.

I expected this book to be suspenseful and have some type of deep dark secret in it just because it was a James Patterson book. It was suspenseful and a fun quick read. It went in a different direction than I expected. I’m confident that if you like mystery and romance you’ll have fun reading this book.

The final novel in the beloved Rose Harbor series, from international bestseller, Debbie Macomber.

Jo Marie thought that Mark was the one - but now he's left Rose Harbor and she is unsure if he's ever coming back. The Rose Harbor Inn doesn't seem the same without him but Jo Marie knows she has to move on with her life.

Emily has suffered heartbreak and is hoping that a long stay in the inn will be exactly what she needs to get her life on track again. She doesn't expect to meet a neighbour and form an unexpected bond. The last thing she was looking for was a relationship, but is she willing to take a chance?

The Rose Harbor Inn has always been a special place of healing. Can it work its magic one more time?

My Review

I was sorely disappointed to see the Rose Harbor series come to an end. Yet, Debbie did a fabulous job of closing out this series. Sweet Tomorrows is a story about two women and their journey to healing and love. It’s neat how the two stories are pretty well intertwined together in unique ways.

Even though I am sad to see this series end, I must say it ended on a wonderful note. If you haven’t read this series yet I would recommend that you get it from Amazon now.

Overview

  1. Oh I LOVED Come Away with Me (Karma Brown’s debut novel), it’s the kind of novel that haunts you and was one of my favorites of 2016. I have wanted to read The Choices We Make so I’m glad it was worth sticking with it for you. I also am intrigued by the James Patterson bookshot. My oldest son loves his middle grade and Maximum Ride series but I haven’t read any of his. This looks like a fun one.
